What is the need / problem ?
Shops using inventory have no way to extract information about what is in their Inventory. Both the Products & Inventory reports are drawing information from the underlying product list. The one that is called Inventory only includes variants that have stock on hand. it is misleading and confusing to call this an Inventory report, as people look at it thinking they can use it to see what is in Inventory

Any Shop or Hub using Inventory that wants to pull data in a csv
What is the current impact of the problem ?
Multiple users in different countries asking for this. Australia has a workaround (script that we run and send them the csv), Canada is working on one. These solutions are not satisfactory - relying on instance manager to do this when Hub needs.
The query is simple - can we just add this report to the Products & Inventory reports?
What is the benefit of focusing on this ?
Reducing variants of hacks being used all over the place to try and meet user need
Potential solutions that will solve the problem ?
- Put it on the API - using Shop’s Enterprise ID to pull items in Inventory. Then instances can provide this to users in a variety of ways
- Create a report in Products & Inventory so that users can just do it when they need it
