Hi all, while working through the Roadmap 2026 items, we realised that product refactor has implications on how various features could be developed, including multiple images.
This led us to pause the development of this feature for a few weeks, while we were figuring out how to make it work with the new intended model.
Happy to say that between the product refactor analysis and the concept feedback received so far, @Rachel and I are confident that images should be variant-first.
We will still retain at least one image for the product (as it is now), to continue to support the existing structure of product + variant(s).
I am going to work through the detailed designs and revisit the issues in Github so that they reflect this decision, and so that developers can pick up this piece of work soon.
