Trying a new format where we keep the same thread instead of creating a new one every time.

15th July 2026

We had a short discussion related to the influx of contributions and how sometimes issues or bugs are not defined enough to be picked up. Will wait for feedback on the thread on community-led activities and then assess if there are adjustments that can be made.

Ahmed

  • released a couple of issues for multiple images
  • currently working on adding and displaying variant images in the frontshop
  • also working on a bug related to shipping method not displayed

Maikel

  • back from holiday. Litefarm integration: while away litefarm team worked on their side, shared a sample file with me
  • looking at product page next
  • In the meantime fixing flaky specs with AI

Mario

  • preparing the current last issue for multiple images, and working on the next one for grid view (#14237)
  • Will do a first quick concept for displaying certificates information for producers as part of the Connecting Farms & Markets project

Maikel

  • Bug in Taler payment gateway, ideally discussing it with Rachel, will raise in the channel

  • 13 issues in code review, will focus on that tomorrow

  • Reviewed litefarm integration, seems good, waiting for prod test. In theory our stuff is in prod and they could share with us

  • Free access to the newest model of Claude, I’ve pointed it out to sort some flaky specs. I’m quite happy with that. It’s getting to the real cases now

  • Ready to pick up product page after code review

Gaetan

  • Code reviews, code cleanup and did a fix on the product modal template

  • Getting started on viewing multiple variants for a single product

  • Variant tags issues (#14557 #14478)

  • Might look into Fable related security issues mentioned by Greg, will pick that up next week

Ahmed

  • Finalized the support for images on variant here. Require one more review on it to move it ready for QA

  • Fixed the bug on the products image page where the add new image button is not displayed if the product doesn’t have an image. Got some feedback on the PR, working on it

  • Finalizing the work for displaying variant images on the carousel. Will pick up the next issues for the multiple images now.

Mario

  • Working on pagination for grid view

  • Starting concepts for displaying certifications coming from Litefarm

  • Working with Rachel to assess approach for shaping up future roadmap

  • Couple of PRs in review related to DFC upgrade, only one little task left (currency vocabulary updates)

  • Looking at product pages, will start this week

Gaetan

  • looking at security issues found by AI, playing with Github private fork for addressing them, but there are limitations

  • Working on viewing multiple variants for the grid view

Mario

  • working on displaying certifications coming from Litefarm in the producer overlay

  • Have done more research and analysis for grid view pagination, next week will provide a proposal

  • Working with Rachel on the next phase of the roadmap

  • Working on multiple product images, finishing displaying images in the carousels and then it will likely be available in the next release

  • Next will work on page for editing image (alt text, caption..)

Gaetan

  • Making progress on grid view variant list overlay

  • Working on and reviewing security issues, patch release yesterday for one of them

  • Cart refactor made with AI, will wait a bit before reviewing and deciding if worth bringing forward, Mario to do a quick test

Mario

  • designed layout for Litefarm certifications

  • Preparing issue for pagination, likely implementing a version very similar to backoffice product list, then optimising for mobile in a separate issue

Maikel

  • Working on product pages, routing, URLs

  • Discussing URL structure, /fat-beets-food-hub/products/33880-bread-wood-fired-sourdough is preferred but will check with Rachel as well

  • Looking at feedback on multi variants list

  • Fixing some security issues

  • Picking up product details in grid view

  • Prepared one issue for pagination, will work separately on the mobile version of it after the desktop version is available in staging

  • Tested grid view - multivariant list and displaying variant images

  • Started working on the new software homepage for the AU instance

  • Will look into group buy issue since it overlap with bye bye angularJS cart (in progress)

Ahmed

  • I’ve finally wrapped up the biggest issue in the Multiple Images milestone, covering image management for both variants and products. Once the Display Variant Images in Product Image Carousels issue has been tested, I’ll do a final round of testing on my end and get it ready for review.

  • I’m now picking up the final issue in the milestone, which is to remove the Images tab from the product edit page.

Maikel

  • will look into upgrade to Rails 8

  • Working on product pages, waiting for Gaetan’s variant list so that it can be incorporated into this work

  • Reworked angularJS cart - tested and it looks good

  • Been working with Claude, found a few issues on current PR

  • Addressing feedback of grid variants list PR, might implement html dialog

  • Picked up product details in the grid view

  • Looked at security issues last week which have been deployed

Maikel

  • Paused product page because variant list will be shared with grid view

  • Replacing angular JS for the cart, will review feedback

  • Recent dfc api updates broke DR integration, now it’s fixed

  • Got a PR in for product page urls, can be seen in the backoffice interface

  • Will look into updating homepage for AU instance

Mario

  • Shared concepts for group buy in grid view, will get the issue ready by the end of the week

  • Working with Gen and Rachel on a proposal for a leaner product strategy for the global gathering

  • Working with Abi in AU to update the homepage for the AU instance

Ahmed

  • Addressing feedback for image management

  • Remove images section page is in progress

  • Lots of code review

  • Finishing off security issue on enterprise fees, hopefully in by next week

  • Finished up product information issue, partially with AI. Now in code review

  • Will look into group buy issue next

Ahmed

  • Image management feature ready for testing

  • We need to remove/revert unused images, working on that

  • If image management issues go through testing this week, will try to release during the weekend so that it’s available in production soon

Mario

  • Migrated and stopped Figma design software subscription

  • Working on new homepage for AU software, testing integrating Wordpress into it

  • Picked up inception for categories again with Rachel, will very soon share some concepts

AI reviews - are they useful?

  • Somehow useful, verbose

  • If I want to save time, I should trust AI and not check everything

  • On own PR, useful to check if something is forgotten

  • PR contributed with AI, maybe answers with AI? Would be better to keep them in the queue and answer appropriately when there’s time

  • Maybe try to make them less verbose

  • Mostly looking at security issues

  • A lot of PRs coming through, doing many code reviews

  • Picked up grid pagination with AI

Ahmed

  • Bug fix related to variant images

  • Now working on optimising image overlay for images

Mario

  • Been working on the AU homepage updates, pretty much ready to be published

  • Also preparing some issues for frontshop navigation

Maikel

  • Focused on AU homepage

  • PR cart moving from Angular

  • Will get back to product page

  • URLs update mostly done, a bit of feedback and testing needed

  • API auth - DFC has openID connect, we need an openID connect server for every region (additional costing..). One idea was to make OFN and openID provider
