1. Current view of roadmap
Finished since last meeting
Rails 5.2 has hit production for all instances managed by the global team! This is a revolution!
In play - Core Pipe
Dev test and code review should be prioritized, there are some bits that are waiting for a while
Our postgres version is not supported anymore, upgrading Postgres is becoming a priority. Thanks to @Matt-Yorkley 's awesomeness, we may have a way to quickly upgrade it. This PR: Postgres upgrade cannon by Matt-Yorkley · Pull Request #733 · openfoodfoundation/ofn-install · GitHub needs to be picked up by another dev and pushed trough code review
OFN Styleguide 1: We have a capacity problem, so the test on both framework in now put on hold in order to start working on checkout split. Indeed the checkout split is blocking adjustment work, so it’s important to get it started as it is a big piece of work.
Refactoring Adjustments ( @Matt-Yorkley ) Big PR is on hold (#7429) in order to reinforced test coverage before introducing it. A meeting to discuss details of the big PR is needed (@sauloperez + @Matt-Yorkley )
Unit prices: A last issue was found, but shouldn’t block us from moving forward to release unit prices to the masses.
In play - Funded pipe
We’re scheduling a meeting to discuss the product strategy. As it is impossible to have everyone Rachel will contribute async.
2. Next Up
Ready To Go
Note: Unit Price in Bulk Editing (=Product List Page) is on hold because of the Product List Page UI Uplift (@jibees )
- Improved reporting - Updated: a meeting with (@Erioldoesdesign + @Rachel ) took place: A further meeting is to be organized with the devs and check if the tech side is feasible; Some design specific tasks are also up next (requires user feedback)
Ready for Inception
(no changes on this section this week)
Invoice number system (@Rachel + ?) - waiting for re-inception, but linked to history of invoice changes.
Networking pt 2 The continuation of this work will wait until @Mario returns.
- Eriol reaching out to Mario (via Email) and Kirsten; awaiting feedback.
We discussed a lot the current bugs, most of the infos are in the issues.
We briefly talk about how to handle the Spree’s notice, see: Add Spree's copyright notice to source code and documentation · Issue #7619 · openfoodfoundation/openfoodnetwork · GitHub
Also we talked about the order of the priority list given we have Postgres update, checkout split and Rails 6.0 entering in play doors at the same time.
