Meeting timing:
(Refer to meeting timeslots here: Delivery Circle timezones - Google Sheets)
We met at timeslot A, but we realised it’s only ideal for Aus team members. They can talk during Aus hours anyway, so we considered changing to use timeslot D every 2nd week, which is a better time for all other members, including Ahmed. (Timeslot E is taken by Product Circle). Maikel and Gaetan can’t join timeslot D, but David can sometimes.
@dcook Upgrading Ubuntu
- uk
- de
- ca: can finally turn off server tomorrow
- us: ready to go
- be: awaiting access from new contact person
- au: … it’s tricky
The AU hosting provider won’t support creating a Ubuntu 20 server.
Prod is on 18, and Staging on 16.
Proposition:
- Upgrade the staging server in-place (without creating a new server). We haven’t done this before, but it might work fine. If not, we can provision with another host provider.
- Don’t upgrade Prod, but add Ubuntu Pro (free account) for security support. We wait until we can upgrade to a later version of Ubuntu.
The question was asked: why do we have separate servers for every instance?
OFN doesn’t support having multiple countries in one instance, but it should be possible to run multiple instances on the one server. There would still need to be a separate server per continent, eg: eu, america, aus+nz.
There would be way less servers to upgrade, but there’s other pros and cons…
@ahmed
- bugs on product import
- order cycle reports. need to include more data in the report+emails.
One flower farm issue (emails) depends and is waiting on a PR currently in test ready.
@maikel
- DFC vocab awaiting code review.
- Working on DFC Orders update to backorders. It’s complex.
@Gaetan
- VINE PR got merged today
- I finished some small changes related to VINE conencted app #13006
- Estimated an integration with Forage which would allow customer in the US to pay with SNAP/EBT card , which is food subsidies system.
- Looked at the possibility of moving the Metabase sever to infomaniak or the current N8N server, waiting to see if there is budget for that
On my plate, I need to follow up on some small PR and S2 bug, and I have some estimation todo on #12918
BUU performance
This topic came up, that the page is very slow to load due to the multiple TomSelect dropdowns. We discussed some ideas including a previous attempt to improve this. Ahmed is intrested to try a spike on this once finished with Flower Farms.
Also David has an unfinished PR for BUU which he will consider if still relevant.
