The ‘Development’ topic is the source of truth for the OFN pipeline of work, detailing how a feature is to be developed and including designs and testing notes.
- Items arrive in ‘Development’ after being approved from the ‘Feature - Wishlist’ category (a decision has been made to prioritise the development of this feature). Firstly the feature goes to ‘Backlog’. It sits here until a developer is ready to tackle the task.
- Next it goes to ‘Doing’, signaling that a developer(s) is working on developing the feature.
- When a feature has been developed and is ready to be tested it transitions to ‘Testing’. Test notes are added at this phase.
- When a feature is complete and has been released, it is ‘Done’
