Product curation meeting #24 notes - 20 October 2020

Continuing the discussion from Product curation meeting #23 notes - 6 October 2020:

Done since last time we met

Current view of roadmap

In play

  1. Bye bye spree (@luisramos0) This is currently the top 1 priority in testing. Luis will make a discourse post to talk about the roll-out of that feature.

  2. Stripe SCA compliance phase 1 + automated tests (@lin_d_hop + @luisramos0) - almost done. Last issue in code review :tada:

  3. Mobile shopping improvements (@Erioldoesdesign + @maikel) - Few issues left. We hope Maikel finishes before going on leave next week. If it does not work, we will need to assign another dev.

  4. Allowing shoppers to agree on T&Cs (@lin_d_hop + @sauloperez) - everything is in code review, waiting to then be tested and finished.

  5. Rails Upgrade 4.1 (@luisramos0) - this topic is dev completed. But Bye bye spree needs to be released first. And @Kirsten needs to document pin payments flow/solution to incorporate into testing for further upgrade testing work.

  6. KPIs & Metabase (@Jana + @sauloperez) - following up getting Metabase set up, the goal here is to get first metrics out.

  7. Stripe SCA compliance - Subscriptions (@lin_d_hop + @luisramos0 + @apb ) - ready for delivery pipe. Maybe we’ve overestimated the work to be done. We need to test the current set up and redefine all the issues.

Next up

  1. Rails Upgrade 4.2 (@luisramos0) - not yet started.

  2. Consumer price comparison / Unit price (@Jana + @Erioldoesdesign + @sauloperez ) - design is done, now on product review before getting to tech review before reaching to community approval.

  3. [Networking pt 1] Product list uplift (@Kirsten + @Mario ) - organize community feedback

  4. Invoice number system (@Erioldoesdesign + @Rachel) - waiting for re-inception.

  5. History of invoice changes (@Erioldoesdesign + @Rachel) - waiting for re-inception.

  6. Adapted weights and measures (@Jana + @luisramos0 + @apb ) - last bit (super admin switch for metrics) is in code review / in dev.

  7. Improved reporting (@lin_d_hop + @Rachel + @Matt-Yorkley) - Tax report is going to be the first step: moving soon to community review.

  8. Networking pt 2(@Kirsten + @luisramos0 + @Mario ) - Mario did all the documentation on discourse. This might be paused while Mario is away. To be confirmed.

Confirming we can retire Pin Payments  There is only one user left, they have agreed to switch to Stripe and while they haven’t yet got around to it they know that Pin is being retired and is no longer supported. Yay for code clean-up . .

Hi @Kirsten, I was picking up the issue to remove Pin Payments. I confirm there is only one user in AU (The B…B…). I see they are quite active, there are over 10 payments in the last 3 days… maybe better tell them it will happen soon?

The PR is in code review, could land in prod next Tuesday:
